Edward J. Stonehill, born of mixed descent (Puerto Rican and Eastern European), is an emerging expressionist artist focused on the power of emotion in art.  He strives to use the primitive emotional attachment to color and the communicative nature of the human form to stimulate an emotional response in the participant-viewer.  Edward returned to the city of his birth after spending six years in the Philippines and Hong Kong, where his artistic vision took shape.   Edward currently lives and works in New York.
